Sunday Quiche
This quiche is a simple & easy recipe that is perfect a weekend breakfast or to bake & reheat for the week! You can use whatever veggies or filling you like, we keep it simple with the veggies we have lingering in the fridge & of course some crispy, local bacon.
What you’ll need:
1 pie crust
8 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
Core 4 seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper)
1 pack of organic bacon
Colored peppers (whatever veggie you have)
Spinach (handful)
1- 8oz bag Gouda Cheese
______________
How you’ll make it:
Cook bacon until crispy, cool, chop, set aside.
Line a pie dish with your uncooked pie crust, fork & place in 350 degree oven for 5-7 minutes to begin the crisping process.
While that is baking whisk together eggs, heavy cream & core four seasonings, fold in chopped bacon.
Finely chop all your veggies, (I used peppers & spinach) & sauté on the stove until slightly tender.
Once your pie has began to cook, remove from oven & add the sautéed veggies on the pie crust & pour the egg mixture overtop of that. (If you’re using a deeper dish its okay if your eggs go over the edges on the crust, the bottom will still be crispy you just won’t have that “pie crust” edge.)
Top with gouda cheese & bake at 375 for about 10 minutes, then reduce the temp to 350 & cook for an additional 30-40 minutes (depending on dish thickness).
Cool, cut, enjoy! Perfectly crispy on the bottom, light & fluffy on top.
